Aruba Bound!

This evening Sev and I leave for a week in Aruba (well, 5 days actually, and 2 in Curacao) for a friend's wedding that I am photographing (Check out their engagement shoot here). I am so excited to celebrate their day with them and enjoy a little vacay!

Love.

This weekend, my grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Sixty. Years. That's love right there. Much love and congrats to them. They certainly give me and Sev a lot to look forward to.
Love is all around me right now. In the months after Sev and I got engaged, several other people in our life have also gotten engaged, including two of our good friends here in Colorado, and (most recently!) my older brother!  Plus, as a wedding photographer, I have the pleasure and honor of photographing people on the most romantic day of their lives. It gets pretty moving to be reminded on an almost weekly basis how powerful and amazing people's love for each other is. Although the days can be long and stressful and demanding, I'm still pretty sure I have the best job in the world.

Oven-Roasted Cherry Tomatoes

My parents garden is still overflowing with produce, so when they came to Denver last week, they brought plenty, including an overflowing ziplock bag of cherry tomatoes. Ummmm.....YUM! They're my absolute fav. But instead of the usual salad topping and snack, I decided to get a little creative with them and slow roast them in the oven. It took quite a bit longer than I expected (about 5 hours to be exact) but they are soooo good and will make the perfect topping for pizzas, pastas and salads.

Cutting these little babies into halves seemed to take forever...until I realized my dad picked all of them by hand. Uhhhh...Thanks Pops!

I used garlic, olive oil and sea salt and put them in the oven at 200 degrees for about 5 hours.

Sally

Last week, I had the opportunity to shoot the adorable Sally and her mom for a little fall portrait session. She was such a doll! I just love that smile!

MAC + Marilyn

A match made in heaven if I may say so. If Marilyn were alive today, I believe she would be a MAC devotee. This new collection proves that with gorgeous pinks and reds and dramatic liners and lashes.

Date Night

Date nights are a whole lot more fun around here now that we are able to go to and fro on our scooter. Last week, Sev and I hit up LoHi for some beer, pizza and ice cream. Totally my kind of date. The white-after-Labor-Day jeans are my way of holding on to summer fashion while transitioning to fall. Rules are made to be broken.

Quite possibly the best photo of me ever. That's salted caramel love right there.
Little man is the bomb. Dot com. You must try it if you are ever in Denver.

Music Monday: No Doubt

I've been a No Dobut fan for about as long as I can remember, so I was super excited when I found out they were releasing their first album in ELEVEN years! Ok, so its no Tragic Kingdom, but I'm just glad they're back. Songs like "Gravity" and "One More Summer" remind you of why you liked them back in middle or high school. Plus, let's be real. Gwen is kindof amazing. Total girl crush.
